This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our online Mafia game service (the "Service"). By using the Service, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.
We use Google AdSense to display advertisements. Google may use cookies and web beacons to serve ads based on your prior visits to our website or other websites. You can opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google's Ads Settings.
Our AI bot feature uses the OpenAI API to generate bot behavior and chat messages. Game context (player names, game state) is sent to OpenAI to generate appropriate responses. OpenAI's data usage policies apply to this data. No personal user information beyond display names is shared.
Feedback submissions are stored securely on Amazon S3. Our game servers run on AWS Lightsail.
In-game chat is stored for 7 days along with the room code, the display name that sent it, and when it was sent, so that we can look into abuse reports and enforce the conduct rules in our Terms. It is not used for advertising or profiling, is not linked to your device identifier, and is deleted automatically once it is 7 days old.
If you share your game using your invite link, we store the link’s code against your device identifier, and — when someone opens it — a record connecting the referring device to the referred device so the reward can be granted. To detect self-referrals we also store a one-way hash of each side’s IP address; the addresses themselves are never written to the referral records. This data is used only to issue and protect referral rewards.
Premium Memberships are sold and managed by Whop Inc. When you subscribe, Whop collects and processes your payment and account information under Whop's privacy policy — we never see your card details. To activate your membership on this site you sign in with your Whop account (OAuth); we receive your Whop user and membership identifiers, and store the membership identifier together with the device identifier you activate on, so we can keep your premium active and switch it off when the subscription ends. Whop also notifies our server when a membership starts, renews, or is cancelled.
Premium Pass payments are processed by Stripe, Inc. When you purchase a Premium Pass, you are redirected to Stripe-hosted Checkout. Stripe collects and processes your payment information, email, and billing details according to Stripe's privacy policy. We do not see, store, or process your card details directly — we only receive a transaction confirmation and use it to generate your premium code.
We use minimal cookies and tracking. Our analytics system uses a session-based approach with anonymous session IDs stored in your browser's local storage. Third-party services (Google AdSense) may set their own cookies for ad personalization. You can manage cookie preferences through your browser settings.
Analytics data is retained for up to 90 days for operational purposes. Game room state is ephemeral and is automatically deleted when a room is cleaned up (typically within 1 hour of game completion). Chat messages are kept in a rolling 7-day log — used only to investigate abuse reports and enforce our conduct rules — and are permanently deleted after 7 days. Feedback submissions are retained indefinitely to help improve the service. Local storage data on your device persists until you clear your browser data.
Mafia Online is intended for players of all ages. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. The game does not require account creation or personal details beyond a temporary display name. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can take appropriate action.
We implement reasonable security measures to protect your information, including HTTPS encryption for all data in transit, rate limiting on API endpoints, and secure server configurations. However, no method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
